Thanks for playing / being interested in CosmoKnots! We'd like you to know that CosmoKnots sends scores and statistics about how you play
the game to our servers so we can use them to display leaderboards, replay replays, and give you a shared account between any devices you play on, and also so we
can have that automated feedback, which we use to improve the game without you having to ask.
We don't collect any personally identifying information, we're not reading your emails or collecting mysterious metadata on your phone calls,
and we don't and won't give anybody else any information about you (which, again, we don't collect in the first place!).
Any information we collect is entirely for the benefit of the players and the ongiong development of the game.
That all said, read on for the more intimidating legalese lawyer-required stuff:
This Privacy Policy describes your privacy rights regarding the collection, use, storage, sharing, and protection of your personal information. It applies to the CosmoKnots application by Defective Studios on all platforms.
You accept this Privacy Policy when you install the application.
This privacy policy governs your use of the software application CosmoKnots ("Application") that was created by Defective Studios. The Application is an interactive game that runs on a variety of platforms. It uses socket networking for multiplayer and HTTP communication to send data to a proprietary backend.
The Application does not cllect your personal information. The Application collects analytics information about your game session and device, but does not collect any identifying information.
In addition, the Application may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of computer or mobile device the Application is installed and used on, that computer or mobile device's unique device ID, the IP address of that device, its operating system, and information about the way you use the Application. The Application collects system information (CPU ID, hardware specs.) and gameplay data (replays, scores, etc).
We will share your information with third parties only in the ways that are described in this privacy statement.
We may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information:You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling the Application. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your computer or mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network. You can also request to opt-out via email, at support@defectivestudios.com.
Defective Studios retains the data that is collected. Additional data retention is done by Google Analytics and is subject to Google's privacy policy.
We do not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has provided us with information without their consent, he or she should contact us at privacy@defectivestudios.com. We will delete such information from our files within a reasonable time.
By using the Application, you are consenting to our processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us. "Processing," means using cookies on a computer/hand held device or using or touching information in any way, including, but not limited to, collecting, storing, deleting, using, combining and disclosing information, all of which activities will take place in the United States. If you reside outside the United States your information will be transferred, processed and stored there under United States privacy standards.
